UPDATE: The children who don’t matter to “Every Child Matters”

The posts below, best read from the bottom up, all deal with the harm done by the hype and hysteria being offered up by a group that calls itself Every Child Matters.  Like most of those whose 19th Century counterparts proudly called themselves "child savers" the people at ECM mean well.  But that doesn't lesson the harm they did in 2009, when these posts first were published.  They were at it again in 2010, and our update can be found here: http://www.nccpr.org/reports/ECMUpdate.pdf
